Artist Red Hong Yi is a name that is not new on Artistic Odyssey, or to those in the art community. The artist has been known for her unique portraits using every day materials in her work, such as, coffee, candles, food, chopsticks, and more. This time, the artist used 20,000 stained tea bags to create an amazing portrait of a “Teh Tarik man”, a man preparing a traditional Malaysian tea. The portrait took Red two months to complete. Red’s work truly sets her apart as an innovative artist.
