To most art history lovers, Byzantine art is synonymous with elaborate mosaics, manuscripts, and a stunning collection of icon paintings. Now, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, fashion designers of Dolce and Gabbana, showcased their Fall 2013 collection, providing the byzantine mosaics a place in fashion. I love everything from the dress designs to the shoes. It’s exceptionally gorgeous.
